Truly Supporting Our Troops: Build
Build:

Thousands of troops are returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with spinal injuries and a loss of limbs, and many of these brave women and men (though “brave– doesn't really do them the justice they deserve) require new homes or reconstructions of existing homes to accommodate their new needs.
Thankfully, Home for Our Troops, a non-profit, non-partisan organization exists. Established in 2004, Home for Our Troops raises “donations of money, building materials and professional labor, and [coordinates] the process of building a new home or adapting an existing home for handicapped accessibility.– As they point out, a new or adapted home costs a great deal of money and “[helps soldiers] get on the road to recovery faster.”
All this is done at no cost to the veterans. They've already paid more than we can imagine. So it's time that Progressive Wednesday steps up to the plate. We've set up a page through Homes for Our Troops, so that we can raise money. Our modest goal from you, our generous readers? $250.
With your help, we know we can reach this goal, even if it's just five bucks at a time. So please give, give until it hurts a little, so that others already hurt can feel that much better. All you have to do is click this sentence.
